Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2017 is the tenth version of the solution that started life as Navision in the 1990s. Over the last twenty years the functionality has grown, through investment from Microsoft and the partner channel today the functionality addresses core operational requirements for all businesses.
The development strategy of NAV has always been a combination of on-going investment in own developers (under Microsoft this is two teams, one in Redmont and one in Vedbaek) as well as taking best practice from the channel and feeding this back into the software (the Fixed Asset, Advanced Warehouse Management and Manufacturing functional areas all originated as ISV add-ins).
Dynamics NAV 2017 addresses the generic requirements for organisations looking for finance through to those involved with professional services, distribution and manufacturing. These generic functional areas are extended by ISV (Independent Software Vendors) add-ins that tend to be industry specific. (We recommend working with add-ins that are Certified by Microsoft – CfMD – as it tends to reflect the ISVs commitment to future releases.)
Where a customer has a unique requirement, access to the NAV development environment means we can customise the solution to provide a 100% fit. Find out more HERE
