HP Announces New c-Class Blade Servers
June 2006The arrival of HP's new c-Class blade servers marks the most significant development to date from a Tier 1 server vendor. The c7000 chassis incorporates a number of new management, cooling and networking features whilst CPU power comes from multi-core Intel Xeon and AMD Opteron industry-standard processors in new design blade enclosures. Latest tools include the Virtual Connect architecture for virtualising I/O on-the-fly, Thermal Logic Technologies for power management and the Insight Control Data Center software package for managing a mix of operating system environments. New storage blades will be announced shortly. HP's enterprise technology is meant to last and offers features which address customer requirements better and more cost-effectively than competitor systems. Having been involved with pre-release HP bladeserver systems we can share much information with you. You can learn more about this important announcement by visiting the HP website.
