Cambridge Online Thought Leadership Event “An excellent event which enabled us to have a deep and educational Cambridge Online hosted their second successful thought leadership event on the 27th May 2010 at the Hotel Felix. Senior executives from local Cambridgeshire businesses took part in a round table debate which focused on the issues that organisations face coming out of recession. The session was facilitated by Steve Farr, Product Manager, Microsoft Dynamics, with a guest contribution from John Davies, Financial Director, Pacer International. Following the discussions Mark Thompson, Sales Manager at Cambridge Online, presented how some of these issues can be addressed with the intelligent use of IT. The key focus of the event was looking at the business issues companies are facing coming out of the recession. The issues that were felt the most key were how to gain competitive advantage through advanced reporting and analysis and how customer service, internal and external visibility plays an important part in this. Discussions also took place on issues surrounding identifying hidden costs within your business to tighten up cost management and how to set realistic KPIs and measurable goals. The debate was followed by a ‘Customer Perspective’ presentation from John Pacer at Pacer International demonstrating how introducing business intelligence reporting tools in his business had benefited them by reducing costs and increasing visibility. The session concluded with a presentation from Cambridge Online demonstrating how business intelligence solutions could address the previous discussed issues and the features and benefits of these.Click to download a full summary of the event If you are interested in attending future Cambridge Online ‘thought leadership’ events then please email amymcgregor@cosl.co.uk to register your interest.
